Film actors and actresses joining politics is not at all a surprising thing as it started right from MGR, Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha, Vijayakanth, Sarath Kumar, Vijay and the list goes on. Now latest name added to the list is Varanam Aayiram girl Divya Spandana.

Actress Divya Spandana is now the member of Youth Congress and this is certainly not a surprising factor as she hails from a political background family. The actress is high in career with her recent flick Sanju weds Geetha turned out to be a hit.

The actress also confirmed that she has joined the Youth Congress and her joining in Congress is making rounds for quite sometime now in the tinsel town. Divya Spandana says that she has been invited by none other than Rahul Gandhi, President Youth Congress and has just accepted that invitation given him. Apparently the actress is the close relative to Union Minister S.M.Krishna and also Congress politician Ambareesh is her mentor and guide. If she has made this decision earlier, she could have been a star campaigner of the party for the three by-elections held in Karnataka. [WaY]

Varanam Aayiram girl Divya Spandana is in love. Yes what you heard is right. The actress, who is very much active in social networking sites, has changed her status from single to in relation. This made very much clear that she in love and doesn’t want to keep it as a secret.

She said that “I am in a relation and I am very happy as my life is more beautiful now than ever”. As of now she is not ready to disclose the name of her person in her life. The actress also said that "I love my profession a lot and my personal life is important for me than my professional life".

When asked her about flying down to Bollywood, she said, “It’s a good idea. But I love to remain herein Tamil film industry as it’s a challenging task to remain over the top of charts. Not alone good looks would help an actress to do well, but she must excellent acting ability to spell… Hope! Sooner things will be favorable for me as well…’
