FeTNA bans Asin Thottumkal's movies

Asin Thottumkal's Sri Lankan visit is turning out to be a nightmare for the actress as Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America (FeTNA) has decided to boycott her movies. Asin, who went to the Island nation for the Bollywood movie Ready is facing the wrath of Tamil organizations.

“The Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America will boycott films of Asin because of her visit to Sri Lanka despite a ban by the Tamil film industry.” Indiatimes quoted FeTNA chief Palani Sundaram as saying.

FeTNA is an umbrella organization of many local North American Tamil organizations. It represents more than 30 local organizations.

Now, South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA) has formed a committee to look into this matter. Meanwhile, Asin says that she has already spoken to SIFAA chief Sarath Kumar and she will respect committees stand on her Sri Lankan visit.

Earlier, SIFAA had warned actors not to travel to Colombo for IIFA awards and threaten to boycott film festival. Many actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Namitha, Genelia and others cancelled their trip at the eleventh hour. But, the stars like Salman Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Lara Dutta and others attended film fest and now they have been banned. (OI)

Creative director Shanker is busy making his dream project “Endhiran” these days on a budget of Rs 190 cr. This mega project will hit screens in November and will not release in September as earlier reported.

According to reliable sources, director Shanker is in contact with Bollywood’s living legend Amitabh Bachchan these days. There is news that the director wants the actor’s voice as a reciprocal to the robot character in ENDHIRAN. Last month, Shanker visited Bachchan residence in order to discuss the issue with the senior Bachchan.

Director Shanker wants to leave no stone unturned and feels that Amitabh’s voice will be apt to the robot character in his film. Already, this movie has Aishwarya Bachchan in the female lead and if Amitabh’s voice gets added, then the two stars will go into records for sharing space in a high budget movie of Indian cinema. Amitabh is still considering the proposal of Shanker. (HC)

Super Star Rajini Kanth’s new film ‘Endhiran – The Boss’ to hit screens on September 3, there’s another special occasion to look out for. Yes, Rajnikanth’s youngest daughter Soundarya will enter wedlock with her fiancé Ashwin on the same day. The marriage will take place at Rani Meiyyamai Raja Muthaiah Hall in Egmore that will be attended by the most top-charting celebrities, big shots and politicians across Indian and foreign countries.

Rajnikanth and his family members are busy preparing the celebrities’ list. For sure, this is gonna be the most lavish occasion of this year as Hollywood’s Richard Gere is expected to attend the function. Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Cheeranjivi and almost each and every celebrity of film industry will take part while Congress President Sonia Gandhi will be present along with her son Rahul Gandhi.

Soon after marriage, the newly wed Soundarya and Ashwin will move into a separate apartment at Spur Tank Road near Chetpet.
