The glitz and glamour of the film industry always attracts thousands of aspiring individuals but beneath that screen and the lens, lies a dark world of lust, deceit and a rather hard hitting reality that many don’t realize till they get in. Welcome to the show business and lately, with the development in technology and the intruding presence of the electronic media, more insights into the flip side of the entertainment circuit is getting exposed. It is an open secret that sex sells in the film industry and there are many anonymous sources who vouch that it is part of the industry norm to grow.
Sometimes, this indulgence leads to a new profession and that is prostitution and escort services. Right now, that seems to be the case with ladies like Bhuwaneshwari and Ranjita. Ironically, there is a lot of hue and cry over such incidents for a day or two and with the TV channels repeating the same scene for 24 to 48 hours, the visuals come as dreams in the night as well.
But the third day, they latch onto something more ‘sensational’ and this is history. In no time, life gets back to normal, people forget and those who caused so much breaking news are onto the tracks of normal life. The classic example for that is Bhuwaneshwari who was meant to stir the hornet’s nest in Kollywood but now, she is out and will also be seen in the new movie ‘Ranga the Donga’ which has family star Srikanth in it.
Many are now saying that though she is not to be seen around, even Ranjita will lie low for a while and in no time, she will resurface and continue with her life as usual. The essence of this is that life has become too casual to commit some really heinous things and elements such as conscience and ethics are nowhere near. It is just a cycle of life that one gets into a scam, makes the most of publicity, gets silent, then resurfaces. And the best part, such things happen in our India only. (GA)
